Current Loves.

This bag.

This bag.  Jay and I found it while we were shopping at Nordstrom because he needed “Christmas ideas.” : )  He wasn’t sure that I really loved it.  Now that I have gift cards to cash in it is sold out.  #fail

my new fave shirt.

I love this new shirt.  #oldnavy #Itwasonsale

old navy pink

This shirt was super-cute on, but I was sticking to my budget #shoppersremorse

I'm not proud, but I can't look away. #trainwreckTV

TGIF!! also titled I Have No Self Control At Target

Finally Friday- thank the good Lord!!

I got my big Starbucks this morning- did you?

Have you been to Target lately?  This is the time of year that Target basically gets half of my paycheck each month.  #Isinglehandedlykeeptheirlightson

We won’t talk about how many times I have been to Target this week alone (3). Or how much I spent (hint: it was not less than $50).  Let’s just say I kind of like Target at Christmastime.

Despite telling myself on Wednesday that I would not visit Target again this week, I ventured out today for this watch I came across online and thought I had to have:

I am pretty sure that every single watch I have ever bought for myself has been a Michael Kors knock-off and this is no exception.  Maybe one day I’ll buy the real thing?  Anyway, for $14.99 I’d say this makes a good substitute. I try not to spend too much $$$ on pieces that are “trendy.”

In addition, I “accidentally” bought this coat. I have been looking for a nice work coat that has a hood.  All of my really warm coats don’t have a hood, and that just does not fly in the OR.  I saw it while walking by to the watches, and it was on sale!

long puffer coat

It’s so cute on, and I love the belt that cinches in the waist.  I will wear the heck out of this thing.

Plus I am tired of wearing my fuschia coat every single day.  That thing is from 2008, and one of my MAs told me today that she didn’t know my name but always refers to me as “Fuschia jacket.”  As embarrassing as this is to some, I can think of worse nicknames.

Peace to the middle east, and ya’ll have a wonderful weekend!!

So. Last week the Walkers went on a mini getaway to Seattle for this girl’s birthday.  [You might remember we have done this once before.]

Typically we just go for a long weekend.  We take the train, we eat real good food, we watch some baseball games, we shop at the Flagship for the Nordstrom Anniversary sale, and then we hit the Spa.  It is kind of the best thing.

As expected, all good vacations start like this:

And then we took this:

This year we stayed here.

in downtown Seattle.  I did already Instagram this, but here’s the view from our room.

and at night:

So pretty.  Our family friend is a VP for Red Lion Hotels and he hooked us up with a great view.

We stayed across the street from one of my favorite Seattle staples- Specialty’s Bakery.  We may or may not have gone there every day for breakfast.[and by gone there every day, I mean 2 of the times this nice couple I know brought me breakfast in bed. #sleepyhead]  I discovered this place while in Seattle back in ’09 with one of my Colorado roommates. And yes I know, who has diet pepsi as their breakfast beverage? This girl! #Iamclassy

Well who do we have here? TWalk would probably kill me for this paparazzi style shot. I don’t care.  I think they’re cute.

These next few pictures are from our last dinner- right on the Waterfront.  The first picture has a shot of the brand new ferris wheel in Seattle [not a fair, a permanent fixture]. Maybe next time I’ll ride.

We had the best waiter ever and we kibitzed about everything from the Mariners, the weather, food, to his slow pitch softball team.  It’s a restaurant league.  Homeboy was the funniest.  He seemed to think we had to wait unnecessarily long for our meal (We were fine with it), so he sent over the owner of the restaurant and an offer of 2 desserts on the house.  Who were we to argue?  The first was a chocolate souffle that Mom and I shared and it was #unbelievable.

I will conclude with this final thought: If you are one of the ‘Spa girls’ then you should probably add the Spa Nordstrom to your bucket list.  I have dreams of taking friends there someday.  It is almost as good as Heaven, and I look forward to my time there pretty much all year.  Even when I worked for Corban, it was worth the splurge.  Best pedicure of your life people.

I mean HI, please look at these.

I am even dreaming of buying one of their amazing robes- but I know it won’t be quite the same ; )

Sunny Saturday :)

Happy Saturday! and what a beautiful day it was 🙂

The Mama and I had plans for a lunch/shopping date up in Portland. So fun.

First stop was California Crisp for our very favorite Taco Salad. Sometimes we have been known to go to Portland just for this salad 😉

Next up we ran over to Nordstrom- where this happened….

Not going to lie, I’m a little bit in love with it. Not to mention Triple Points weekend! #hello 😉

After a couple more quick stops we headed to Bridgeport. We decided to run in to the Container Store on a whim. And boy am I glad we did because then THIS happened…

Container Store has a big sale event going on for the next couple weeks, and part of that is free product demonstration classes with a $15 gift card giveaway! Well, we just happened to wander in when one was about to begin and we were recruited mostly for the gift card drawing : ) Well, only 1 other lady joined us so we had pretty good odds of winning and I won!! So much fun. I spent it immediately on some of this:

Then we made a quick stop at Whole Foods before time to head for home.

I was completely dazzled at one aspect of life in the big city, and I had to bring it home with me:

Did you know you can still buy [local organic] milk in cute glass bottles?!??! I did not. I had to bring home this cute little guy on the left.

Now we only have one problem, do any of you drink milk? You are cordially invited to come have a glass or two or quart so I can enjoy my cute glass bottle. 😉
